This is an excellent program to use for "Listening for Gist" . Unfortunately, the BBC discontinued this but it can be used whatever the date! I use it by asking students what the 6Ws are. Then, they listen first and list a title for each story. 1.________ (why) 2.________ (how) 3.________ (what) 4.________ (where) 5.________ (when) 6.________ (who) Then listen again and in small groups/pairs they discuss the answers to the 5W questions. Listen again and take up the answers. Great listening lesson!
